Day 01: Arrive Paro

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport and transfer to your hotel.
  • Relax and acclimatise to the Bhutanese environment.

 

Day 02: Paro – Punakha

  • Scenic drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, with panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, an architectural marvel located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers.

 

Day 03: Punakha

  • Attend the Punakha Tsechu Festival, experiencing vibrant processions, traditional masked dances, and cultural performances.
  • Explore Punakha’s lush valley and surrounding beauty.

 

Day 04: Punakha – Gangtey/Phobjikha

  • Travel to Phobjikha Valley, home of the Black-necked Cranes.
  • Visit Gangtey Monastery, perched on a hilltop with stunning valley views.

 

Day 05: Gangtey/Phobjikha – Thimphu

  • Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city.
  • Visit cultural landmarks such as the Buddha Dordenma Statue and Memorial Chorten.

 

Day 06: Thimphu

  • Explore Thimphu’s cultural highlights: Folk Heritage Museum, National Library, and Handicrafts Emporium.
  • Visit local markets and enjoy shopping for Bhutanese handicrafts.

 

Day 07: Thimphu – Paro

  • Return to Paro, stopping at scenic spots along the way.
  • Visit Rinpung Dzong and explore Paro's local markets.

 

Day 08: Paro

  • Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched high on a cliff overlooking the valley.
  • Spend the evening at leisure, reflecting on your Bhutanese adventure.

 

Day 09: Depart Paro

  • Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure.
